Plant Prisms & Cardboard Kaleidoscope (Wonderful Idea Co and Lodestar Community Charter School)
In this DIY project, mirrors help to create beautiful and surprising kaleidoscopic designs using flowers, leaves, and other plant-based materials. The project uses a couple of simple tools and easy to find materials to help people explore biological specimens outside.

This project was created in collaboration with Wonderful Idea and Lodestar Community Charter School as part of a grant to develop tools that can be used in schools, maker-spaces, libraries and small museums. Covid-19 at the time shifted the focus to develop tools for investigating art, science and technology at home. The full project guide can be viewed on the Instructables website here!
